GOVERNOR RELEASES THE BOOK “THE RAJ BHAVANS OF TAMIL NADU”

His Excellency Thiru Surjit Singh Barnala, Governor of Tamil Nadu released the book “The Raj Bhavans of Tamil Nadu” authored by Thiru S. Muthiah, Historian and published by South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur at Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Chennai on 21.10.2009. Mr. Mike Nithavarianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner for South India in Chennai received the first copy of the book.

His Excellency the Governor honoured Mrs. Catherine Rossdale, Grand Daughter of the then Governor of Madras Lord Erskine and her husband Mr. Edward Rossdale and presented the book. Thiru S. Muthiah Author of the book, his team and the Committee Members were also presented shawl. Dr. P.C. Alexander, Former Governor of Tamil Nadu, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, Prince of Arcot, Mr. Andrew T. Simkin, U.S Consul General, Consulate General of the United States of America, Thiru Hans Raj Verma, I.A.S. and Thiru K.V. Giridhar, I.F.S. participated in the function.

Members of the Diplomatic core, High officials, Vice-Chancellors and other dignitaries were present.
